An eighteenth century French comedy. A tale of theft, fraud, extortion and sexual corruption. Monsieur Turcaret is a tax farmer with a hand in every legitimate and illegitimate monetary deal. Turcaret has only one aim - personal gain. A man of his time, will he be able to stay one step ahead of the rest?
